Challenge

Exhibits and building rooms requiring special parameters for heating and cooling needs.

Solution

The Louisville Science Center has a 4-story IMAX theatre, teaching laboratories, educational programs, and over 150 interactive exhibits that all have challenging heating and cooling needs.  Our Louisville team installed 20 wireless temperature sensors to help monitor the most difficult exhibit areas.

A Closer Look

These sensors are so sensitive to changes in the environment that they record and send a signal to the heating and cooling equipment whenever an adjustment needs to be made.  These sensors also created a zone system so that the museum management team can monitor the areas even when the building is closed.  By having this control, energy savings are achieved, and additional savings are created to be used in other areas.
