A Closer Look
One of the largest districts in the State of Kentucky, Kenton County School System is considered one of the most progressive school systems in the region. Kenton County has incorporated energy management into their curriculum as part of high tech teaching tools and buildings feature: solar panel technology, rain water harvesting, daylight harvesting, water source heat pumps with geothermal well fields, green vegetated roofs, and more. For over 15 years, our Cincinnati office has controlled and monitored each of these high tech "green" facilities and critical building systems using the I/A Series Building Management System by Schneider Electric. The school district was able to achieve the following:
- First LEED Silver-Certified school in Kentucky
- First schools to recieve consecutive ENERGY STAR Labels
- First True Daylight school in Kentucky
- First school with rainwater catchement
- First school with solar PV
